Hi! I’m Tristan, a German illustrator and writer living in beautiful Scotland.

I was born in 1989 in Germany. I studied Graphic Design, and later a few semesters of Japanese Studies and History at the University of Heidelberg. During these times I had the opportunity to illustrate a children’s book and to create several illustrations for punk stores and independent musicians.

Today I’m working mostly on commissions for publishing and as a comic/manga creator. I’m also developing skills for concept art. I live with disability, but have yet to incorporate that into my art.

Trivia: Whenever I’m not drawing, I’m either writing, learning Japanese, or taking photos of wild animals! You may find me roaming through Scotland’s bookstores, castles, and nature reserves, trying coffees and dairy-free cakes.

I’m a member of the Association of Illustrators, Society of Authors, and Creative Edinburgh.
