In 2023/24 I joined my first Manga contest that required several pages to be submitted. I had recently moved, the deadline was creeping closer, and in the end I was left with less than a week to create an entry.

At this point, I didn’t know much about the guidelines and rules of Manga, and I didn’t know how to tell a story within merely 5-7 pages. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that I didn’t make the shortlist!

Although the Manga really isn’t very good, I still hope you will enjoy some of the weirdness that is “The Fox and the Compass”:
